Gabi Halstead, formerly known as Cherry Rat started her music career in December 2010 as a rockabilly singer and songwriter.

Gabi came a long way from Brazil to the USA, playing on some of the most important stages and events for the Rockabilly Scene such as Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender, Nashville Boogie, Rockabilly Reunion, Psycho Carnival and also opening for big names like Wanda Jackson, Batmobile, Nekromantix, Delta Bombers, etc. She was also nominated in the Best Female Rockabilly Singer category at the Ameripolitan Music Awards in 2019 solidifying her name in the Rockabilly Music industry.

But before that, Gabi, still under the name Cherry Rat, released her first album "Bop to The Hell" in 2014 with the band Cherry Rat & Os Gatunos and is currently recording her second album named "Necessary Evil" that should be released at anytime soon.
